Services Offered

I believe that suffering, difficulties and hardship are universal and inevitable at some point in our lives. I provide a safe, empathetic, confidential and non-judgemental environment in which my clients can explore, process and resolve their current difficulties.

I draw on a number of interventions that are evidence based. My style is integrative and intuitive and is tailored to treat each person as a unique individual to ensure my services meet their specific needs.

Client Centred therapy is based on the belief that every human being strives for and has the capacity to fulfil his or her own potential.

It is a talk therapy that uses a non-directive approach which allows clients to discover their own solutions. The therapist acts as a compassionate facilitator, listening without judgment and acknowledging the client’s experience.

The therapist is there to encourage and support the client and to guide the therapeutic process without interfering with the client’s process of self-discovery.

Cognitive behavioural therapy is a goal orientated therapy.

It focuses on challenging and changing unhelpful cognitive distortions (eg. thoughts, beliefs and attitudes) and behaviours, improving emotional regulation and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems.

It is used to treat a variety of psychological, emotional and behavioural disorders including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, phobias, conduct disorder, substance abuse, eating disorders, couple and family difficulties, complicated grief, anger and hostility, insomnia.

BWRT is a highly effective form of psychotherapy based on current knowledge of neuroscience.

‘BWRT®’ stands for ‘BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®’, a model of psychology and psychotherapy created by UK professional therapist, Terence Watts, MCGI. Like many other modern therapies, it allows a ‘core of privacy’ so that you do not have to divulge anything you would rather not talk about – in fact, the practitioner only needs to know how you feel and how you would prefer to feel instead. BWRT® is a completely new and different therapy based on the latest discoveries about the way the brain works and how it affects our moods, behaviour and emotions. Only Certified Practitioners have been trained to deliver BWRT® and all have to adhere to a strict ethical code. Find out more at

IBBA uses popular brain based and trauma informed techniques to provide a holistic approach to therapy.

The Integrative Brain Based Approach (IBBA) developed by Jeanie Cave integrates and expands on the principles of brain based and trauma informed therapies and the Interactional Pattern Analysis.  Hypnotherapeutic and eye movement techniques and other brain based methods are used to provide a holistic approach to therapy.

Emotionally focused therapy (EFT) is a type of short-term therapy that is used to improve attachment and bonding in adult relationships.

Emotionally focused couples therapy (EFCT) is a short-term structured approach to psychotherapy, which usually requires between 8 and 20 sessions. Its goal is to create a more secure emotional attachment between two individuals.

When we argue with our partner, our arguments can feel familiar because they follow a certain pattern. Even if the topic is different it’s the same cycle. Emotionally focused therapy can help you identify this pattern and see that it’s a result of emotional needs that are unmet.

In EFCT, clients experience, accept, and transform negative emotions and patterns into positive emotions and a more secure emotional attachment.  When we become aware of our emotions, learn how to regulate them, and transform them into loving interactions, we become more emotionally intelligent, understanding, and secure in our relationships.
EFT has been demonstrated as helpful for couples with a variety of problems, including  post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, frequent arguments, a history of infidelity, and chronic health conditions.
The Interactional Pattern Analysis (IPA) is a psycho-diagnostic tool.

It is designed as a framework for diagnosing the underlying mechanisms linked to the client’s presenting complaint. It helps clinicians to accurately aim their therapeutic interventions to the nodal points maintaining the client’s problems.

Robyn is IPA Level 1, 2 and 3 trained.

Coaching is the partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative way that inspires clients to maximize their personal and professional potential.

The coaching process allows clients to unlock previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity and leadership.

Coaching is a process of inquiry that provokes critical thinking about our thoughts. Inquiry helps to discern gaps in our logic, evaluate our beliefs and clarify our fears and desires which affect our decisions and choices. Solutions emerge when our thoughts are rearranged and expanded.

Robyn offers coaching in the following areas:

  • Executive and Business
  • Mental Wellness
  • Teen Wellness
  • Parent-Teen Relationship
  • Stage of Life Transitions
  • Relocation and Work Away From Home

I’ll meet you in person or online.

Online therapy refers to therapy or counselling that is provided via the internet rather than in person. Therapy is provided via video chat in real time through Skype, Teams, WhatsApp or Zoom. Research has shown that online therapy is as effective as in person therapy.

I see clients based locally or overseas who can’t see me in person or who prefer the convenience of online counselling. Therapy can be held completely online or may be interspersed with in-person appointments.
